Supporting children, teenagers and adults to navigate life's challenges with warmth, understanding and evidence-informed psychological care.
Hello and welcome. I'm Michelle.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me.
I've always been curious about people—their stories, their strengths, and their remarkable capacity to heal, grow and create meaningful change. I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a profession that allows me to walk alongside people through some of life's most challenging moments, while also celebrating their resilience and growth.
I understand that reaching out to a psychologist can sometimes feel like a big step. Whether you're seeking support for yourself, your child or your family, my hope is that you'll feel welcomed, listened to and supported from the moment you arrive at Rossmoyne Psychology.
For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of supporting children, teenagers, adults and families through many of life's challenges. Every person has their own unique story, and I believe therapy should be tailored to the individual. My aim is to provide a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach where you feel heard, understood and supported as we work together towards meaningful change.
Before establishing Rossmoyne Psychology, I worked as an Educational Psychologist supporting school-aged children and their families. I also hold a Bachelor of Education and have experience as a classroom teacher, giving me a practical understanding of children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
Over the years, I have also worked extensively with adults in private practice, women's health and university settings. These experiences have given me broad experience supporting people through a wide range of concerns and life transitions.
I am a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi).
I believe every person has the capacity for growth and change. It is a privilege to walk alongside people as they discover their strengths, build resilience and move towards greater wellbeing.
I look forward to meeting you. Michelle Capsanis Registered Psychologist
